Flora is a competition in which ephemeral floral installations are combined in a setting such as the courtyards of Cordoba. The International Flower Festival sees the event as an unprecedented cultural exchange. After the success of Flora 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021, a large number of visitors was expected this year.
After a break due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Flora will be held this year in October, with the courtyard of the orange trees as a privileged setting.
What is the contest about
Using the typical Cordoba courtyards that the city council cedes for this edition, real works of art composed of floral compositions are installed in them. Six are the professional artists who show up for the event each year, in which a common theme has been chosen for each of the contestants.
When is celebrated
The 2022 edition will be held around October. As on other occasions, the public will be able to evaluate each of the works, leading to one of the prizes. During the days of the event, the patios can be visited free of charge.
Where you can see Flora 2022
Twe already know which 5 venues have been chosen for this edition of Flora. One of them is the Patio de los Naranjos, as the most emblematic. The other four chosen are the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum, the baroque courtyard of the Diputación de Córdoba, the Posada del Potro, which repeats as on other occasions, and one of the courtyards of the Palacio de Viana.
