The Wine Tasting is one of the most anticipated events in the city in May. A good amount of wineries, varied appetizer, music and a great desire to party are combined. The Tasting is a fair where you can taste the main wines of the Montilla-Moriles denomination of origin.
The different types of wine that can be tasted are Fino, Amontillado, Oloroso, Cream, Pedro Ximénez, Blanco Joven and those of an ecological type.
When is celebrated
For 2022 the Cata will be held from the 20th to the 24th of April, anticipating this year’s May in Cordoba. Admission at midday is free, paying only for drinks. In the evening you will have to buy your ticket to access the venue on the esplanade of the Diputación.
The usual wineries
Every year more than 20 wineries in the area come together in the tasting. Some of the best known are Toro Albalá, Delgado, Navisa-Covos, Lagar el Monte, Pérez Barquero, Cruz Conde, etc. You have more information about the Denomination of Origin here.
Location and tickets
The place chosen in recent years is the esplanade next to the Córdoba Provincial Council. As a general rule, entry is free from 1:00 p.m. at 17h. And from 9:00 p.m. at 1: 00h. You need a ticket that you can buy at the ticket office.
